Chilled & Frozen
Whole Chicken 1500 is a whole, bone-in bird at the 1500 weight grade, a step up from the mid-range size and chosen where a slightly larger yield is wanted from a single bird.
What it is
Supplied whole and on the bone, skin on by default, this grade belongs to the same whole chicken range as every other size we hold. The extra size over the mid-range grade is the only difference — preparation and handling are identical.
How it is prepared
Whole, spatchcocked, halved, quartered or fully jointed, skin and giblets in or out as specified. All preparation is confirmed at the point of order.
Typical trade use
Kitchens use this grade for roasting two to three covers from a single bird, rotisserie service, and jointing where a larger yield per bird is wanted. It sits between Whole Chicken 1400 and Whole Chicken 1700. For a named bird with the same whole-bird handling but a different trade positioning, see Corn-Fed Chicken.
Ordering notes
Confirm the grade and case quantity you need when ordering — we supply exactly the grade specified rather than substituting a neighbouring size. Ingredient and allergen information is supplied with the goods; confirm the current specification.

Frequently asked questions
How many covers does grade 1500 typically serve?
It is bought where a single bird needs to stretch to two or three covers rather than one — the exact yield depends on how the dish is plated, so confirm your portioning plan with us if it’s tight.
Is this grade suited to rotisserie service?
Yes — it is one of the grades kitchens choose for rotisserie precisely because it gives a fuller, more substantial bird than the smaller grades without moving into our largest sizes.
What comes after grade 1500?
Whole Chicken 1700 is the next grade up, chosen for larger roasts and jointing where individual pieces need to be more substantial.
